ABOUT THE EXPERT
Dr Mahima Bakshi is a renowned Woman and Child Wellness Expert. She is also the Youth Ambassador from India for the International Youth Society.
She is India's first Dancing for Birth - certified licensed Instructor. She is a certified Water Birth Coach.
She has also started an online initiative - Birthing Naturally Queen- an online pageant for pregnancy to motherhood . It is India's biggest online pageant to promote awareness on maternal mental health. Her tagline for the pageant is ' Spreading Smiles from Pregnancy to Motherhood. '
She has authored the famous mother and child book- Birthing Naturally- A stressfree guide to a healthy pregnancy and natural childbirth ( Penguin publication ).
Her book was launched by Ex President of India- Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
She has also authored book- ' Empowering You Beyond Birthing ' - a guide on postpartum wellbeing and equal parenting.
She has won various beauty pageants, represented India at the World Fashion Festival Awards 2019 in UAE .
She also featured on the Coverpage of the popular women's magazine ' Woman's Era ' for World Breastfeeding Week August Issue 2019.
She is also a Fashion Model and has appeared in many TV commercials, fashions shows in India and UAE. She has also won 'SHE Awards Dubai 2020' in the UAE as a Global Woman Achiever.
She is a strong supporter of Breastfeeding in Public in India.She is also a Woman Activist - has been promoting mother and child rights in India. She was also awarded by the Governor of Haryana on Independence Day 2019 for her contribution towards Mother and Child Wellbeing .
She also runs her popular digital show on Mother and Child Health - 'Birthing Naturally with Dr Mahima Bakshi' , She has worked with Apollo Cradle India and Fortis Hospital Noida/Faridabad in the past . She was honoured by FOGSI (Federation of Gynaecological Society of India) at Kokilaben Hospital Mumbai . She has appeared on news channels like Cnn, AajTak, NewsX etc. And has appeared on Radio One , covered in HT city / Times of India for her book- Birthing Naturally.
Pre Conception to Parenting
Dr Mahima Bakshi coaches women from the 'Pre Conception Stage' on the Mental and Physical Wellbeing , throughout the 'Pregnancy' to prepare for 'Natural Birthing' and after delivery to establish 'Breastfeeding' ,' Early Parenting' and overall 'Child Wellbeing'.
